Wise Integration of Technology
Two different frameworks are explored for potential personal usage in the future. The first to be covered is TPACK, which on its face seems boring, however there is an incredible Venn diagram that really speaks to all visual learners. And who doesn't love a Venn diagram. The second framework is Triple E and is very simple and easy. It has an open subjective artistic approach to integration of technology.
TPACK
My personal favorite is this crisp clear diagram. As shown, we have technology knowledge, pedagogical knowledge and content knowledge. Where they overlap, we get the combination of three new subtypes: technological content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, and technological pedagogical knowledge. We want to hit that sweet spot that the system is labeled for. I feel that the hardest part for me is Technological Pedagogical Knowledge. Choosing and knowing pedagogical affordances, the range of technological tools as they relate to subject matter with implementing pedagogical designs and strategies.
Triple E
The core of this framework is to set the focal point on Instructional Strategies. Upon looking at and deciding what strategy works best for our subject matter we move out to look how to Enhance, Extend, and Engage. Triple E wants to help the teacher's vision become reality. This system is different than the other systems in that it doesn't need the newest or latest cutting edge of technology. The teacher is the artist and uses the tools available to maximize the effectiveness of masterpiece they are displaying to their class.
